Successful Application of Heavy-Duty Pallet Racks with Steel Decking in the Packaging Industry

The company requires a solution that can "make full use of all available space and accommodate as many products as possible".
ORION's baseline plan was as follows:
Load-bearing design: Based on the customer's requirement that the maximum weight per cargo location is 1000kgs, the design is made to support a load of 2000kgs per layer.
Height design: In line with the customer's needs for different sites, three height options are designed: 2.25m, 7.5m, and 8.4m.
Span design: According to the maximum size of the goods, the span of each rack location is set to 2.5m or 1.3m. This ensures that a single location can accommodate 1 to 2 standard pallets or full cases of goods, avoiding space waste.
Aisle design: To create more pallet storage locations, a narrow-aisle design is adopted.

Detail Optimization:
Safety Accessories: Safety pins are installed at both ends of each beam to prevent accidental detachment of the beams; Expansion bolts are added at the bottom of the rack columns to firmly fix them to the ground, enhancing overall stability.
Identification Plates: Identification plates are attached to the side of the rack columns, indicating the rack dimensions and load-bearing capacity to prevent overloading.
