Pick Climb System

PRODUCT

The Pick Climb System is a minimalist, high-efficiency goods-to-person warehouse automation solution. Powered by a single type of Climber robot that climbs along guide rails mounted on one side of racks, it reduces installation & deployment requirements and enables rapid go-live. Robots travel freely under racks, moving between storage locations and picking stations via optimal shortest paths. Orders can be fulfilled within 2 minutes at minimum for outstanding throughput.

DESIGN FACTOR

Warehouse Building & Floor Conditions Flat, intact floor. Clear height with safety allowance for racks; no cross-aisles needed. For existing warehouses, check ceiling height, floor load and column locations to prevent interference.
Rack & Rail Key Parameters Standard pallet racks with one-side guide rails. Min. aisle width ≥900 mm; max. rack height 12 m. Tight installation tolerances for rails and racks. Verify rack capacity for double-deep storage.
Robot Configuration Robot quantity defined by throughput simulation; single system max. 3,000 robots. Proper charging zone layout. Optimize aisle design with bidirectional handling to avoid congestion.
Workstation Selection & Layout Choose workstation types based on inbound/outbound ratio. Reserve operator space; keep area under stations clear for robot access.
Container Compatibility Box size and weight to meet robot specs; containers intact without deformation. Higher box consistency required for double-deep storage.
Software System Confirm WMS/ERP interface protocols upfront. Plan order dispatching. Deploy stable network and servers for robot cluster communication and monitoring.
Safety Design Physical barriers and collision detection around robot zones. Safety vests for maintenance personnel and dedicated service aisles for safe human-robot interaction.
Retrofit for Existing Warehouses Check if existing racks can fit guide rails; replace weak racks. Ultra-precise floor levelling not required, but repair pits and expansion joints to avoid robot high-speed vibration.

ADVANTAGES OF PICK CLIMB SYSTEM

  • Simple & User-friendly :Minimal, easy-to-learn warehouse automation solution with fast deployment and flexible scaling;
  • Rapid Deployment :Single-side rails lower requirements for racks and floors. Robots can start operation once powered on, shortening project timeline and accelerating ROI;
  • Easy Scaling :Add robots or system modules to expand capacity and storage without suspending on-site operations to support business growth;
  • Intuitive Operation :The operation is simple and easy to master quickly;
  • Space Efficiency : Ultra-high storage density and order fulfilment within a smaller footprint;
  • High Throughput : Climbing robots travel under racks and take optimal paths to workstations. A 1,000 ㎡ area achieves 4,000 boxes per hour;
  • High-density Storage :Up to 12 m rack height, no cross aisles needed for compact rack layout. 30,000 storage locations available per 1,000 ㎡.

FAQS

Yes. Single-side guide rails have low requirements for floor and rack precision, compatible with most standard pallet racks.

Up to 3,000 robots for one system; 30,000 storage locations in 1,000 ㎡.

Boxes arrive at workstations within 2 minutes, 34% faster than traditional AS/RS. 4,000 boxes per hour in 1,000 ㎡.

Simple modular plug-and-play scaling. Add robots or racks without operation shutdown.

Physical barriers around robot zones plus collision detection. Operators wear safety vests. Robots detect personnel and automatically slow down, reroute or stop for safe maintenance and cleaning.

Picking accuracy over 99%; 4× higher efficiency and 3× daily throughput. Eliminates long-distance walking for pickers, cuts labour intensity and eases warehouse labour shortage.
